Mysterious problem (Video)

I did a full throttle decent at high altitude and lost control of the Phantom, it wouldn’t respond. Not sure what happened but I think it was prop wash created by my prop guards. Would this have happen without prop guards? I don’t know.

Looks like VRS to me. Prop guards do make it more likely. Either way when descending you should always have some type of lateral motion which will help keep VRS from happening.

What exactly happened? What do you mean by full throttle descent ?
Do you mean you pulled the left stick full down to descend?
Are you using current firmware that limits descent speed to 2 m/sec?
Without better information, it's possible that what you are looking at is VRS, and prop guards are generally thought to be a contributing factor.

Without prop guards, I have never had a problem with long descents straight down from height.

Yes, I mean I pulled the left stick full down to descend. I have the current firmware installed and setting are at default. Not sure what the descent speed is set to, will check. Bird is fine, thanks for asking.
