A gentleman from our local club (I'm the only read rotorquad, they are old time fixed wingers) called me today and asked me to take some pictures of the field. They had just finished re-striping it. I told him sure and I'd be out today or tomorrow. Decided to go ahead and head out there and sure enough the gentleman and some friends were flying. He asked if I would mind filming them flying and I said sure. Wind was about 18mph, but you can't tell with the Phantom. You can also see a decent dead-stick landing for this high of wind. Here is one pic of the field and the video.

Best part is wide open country for as far as you can see. Thanks guys. I'm going to be filming their Warbirds fly-in in a few weeks.

It is the Amarillo (Texas) Radio Kontrol Society. About 15 minutes outside of Amarillo. Not sure if its STOL. I believe its used in highway construction and is like very thick landscaping material, but much, MUCH stronger.
