My new P3A....

I have seen a couple of cases now where it appears that dragging from the zip file as shown in the file manager and dropping onto the SD card does not work properly.

It may require actually extracting the bin file out of the zip and onto the hard drive first, then putting that extracted file on the SD card.

That is how I have done every update and not had a problem yet.

If true, this would seem to be some sort of DJI/Phantom peculiarity.
I'll try it on the next update because just dragging the bin file to the card on my iMac definitely was the problem. With the windows laptop I used it worked great. Thnx for the help.
 
remember you dont have to update firmware just cause there is a new one
 
why doesn't people just fly for awhile instead trying to due firmware updates right away due they think if they don't upgrade firmware it isn't going to fly just don't get it
Because that is what your suppose to do, not what think you should do from folks who have no intention on helping, just want to run their mouth.
 
Drag and drop doesn't always work. Best is to copy & paste.
Glad you figured out the error of your ways. Hahaha

Got it going finally. It's a blast like I new it would be. Thnx again.
Awsome brother. Glad everything worked out. Been ther done that and learned quite a bit from some of the folks here. Have a blast with it!
