My first FPV flight

Hello all.
I have mounted this http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.vi ... 28&alt=web and http://www.ebay.com/itm/Boscam-FPV-5-8G ... 2c8483c59a on py phantom 2. On by first flight I lost video connection about 50m up and 20m forward. that cant´t be right? baybe I need some other antenna?

your links didn't actually work properly, can you try again? I remember us chatting in another thread but I can't remember exactly which equipment you have.

If you have the Boscam TS351 transmitter (200mW) and are just using the stock antenna that came with the device, you're getting the same performance I was. Watch the first 5-6 mins of this video and he will explain why.
upgraded antennas (pinwheel or cloverleaf) are essential if you want any kind of range... one for the transmitter and at least 1 for the receiver.

I have done some channels test today whit this system and orginal antenna.
ch1 was 50 m og 10 m forward and I lost connection.
Ch2 was the same ****.
Ch3 was better 50 m up and 150 m forward maybe.
I have 8 channels so I will test the rest soon.

indeed I've seen plenty of pictures of Phantoms with those type antennas... I can't speak to their quality specifically but they'll definitely be better than the stock antennas but I'm worried about how cheap they are that just says something about quality. At least they'll be better than the plain antennas. Let us know what sort of range you get after putting them on. Also are you in a high interference urban environment or not so much?

If the below chart is to be believed, channel 4 is best on your TS351. Still, that difference in channel output is minimal compared to good antennas. I've been out to 600 meters with mine now, just the pinwheels. of course mine were a little more expensive heh
