Have been recording in MOV format and it seems to be fine. Just wondering if there is a prefernece between the MOV and MPEG formats? Is one better then the other ? Also what is the 2.7K resolution available on the P3A equilvalant to, and is it better then 1080 ? Thanks guys.

Should be no difference. The formats are essentially the same but inside a different package.
2.7K is higher resolution (more pixels) so it can show higher detail but that requires bigger file sizes.
  • 2.7K: 2704 x1520p 24/25/30 (29.97)
  • FHD: 1920x1080p 24/25/30/48/50/60
Neither is "better". Which to use depends on what you are shooting for and what your requirements are.

MP4 and MOV are just wrappers. If you use Mac, use MOV. Windows, use MP4.

The 2.7K equivalence - not sure what you mean there. If you scale the 2.7K footage down to 1080, it will look better than 1080. A 2.7K frame also allows you to re-frame your shot after the fact since it's bigger than HD.
