Planning to do a little field crop inspection for my nephew and needed a camera facing straight down and still allow using the PV2+ camera to watch for approaching trees. I made this mount out of .080" (2mm) ABS and heat formed the ends to elevate the camera. The various cutouts are for reducing weight as well as increasing flexibility to minimize/prevent jello.
There is a hole along each side for a small safety zip-tie if desired.

Edit: The mount weighs in at about 15 grams.

Thanks, guys. I need to get that crop flying done, been a bit windy lately.

I'm wanting to use the plus camera for "straight ahead" FPV to avoid running into trees while shooting straight down for crop inspection with the Gopro. Will be flying at low altitude.

Do you have remote control of the gopro or are you going to just hit record before you take off?

I've thought about trying to mount a secondary camera with a zoom for some shots I need to take.

Yeah, the Gopro has the WIFI but it's about as easy to start the video before take off. It can take stills at timed intervals during video also. The 90 grams additional for the mount and Gopro is not much of an issue.
