motor specs flame wheel vs phantom

Hi

Is there any difference between the red flame wheel motor and the silver phantom ones? they should both be 2212 920KV motors, but as I am new to this I do not know if there are other factors to consider. I need to replace one motor and I have a couple of the silver ones that I wonder if I could use.

You are correct, they both are 2212 920KV. The red motors are older and the silver motors have updated bearings as far as I know. I would not mix and match, but you could give it a try, I bet they will work fine. I just sold a bunch of the red motors

I know nothing on this topic except a rumor that the motors are the same, but supposedly the red ones have better quality control. I'd wager they're the same.

I believe the bearing are improved in the Red Motors.

My E300s are that size. I thought they were different than the Phantom motors.
