Hi all, just bought the phantom 2 w 3d gimbal today. I haven't installed the gimbal yet. I flew it around a few times, landing taking off, turning the blades on and off etc. I noticed the one rear engine was slower to start and quicker to shut off, but they all are slightly different so I didn't worry. We'll it got worse. On my last take off it flipped over backwards on take off. I tried to turn the prop w my finger and the bad engine was crunchy and had great resistance.

The cure:
I took the blades off, and the body mount screws around the bad eng and the 4 eng screws. I Split the body enough to pull the wire out a bit so I could flip the motor. Pulled the E-clip and slid the rotor off the stator. There was a tiny bit of copper wire stuck on a magnet. I blew on it and rubbed my pinky on the magnets. Slid it back together and it works "better than new".

I don't know if others posted this problem or how common it is but I thought I'd put it up in case. I'm guessing it was sloppy assembly in china.
