Mode switching question?

Maybe I'm missing a step but when I switch from p-mode to sport mode and then back to p-mode the avoidance function does not return. I know in sport mode it is not suppose to work but I would have thought it would turn back on once you return to p-mode. The rc and aircraft both have the latest firmware. Has anyone else experienced this issue and is there a solution. Thanks in advance.

Is OA enabled in settings when you switch it back and forth? Seems like a weird bug

It is enabled. I checked it after I landed just to see if it automatically switched it off. I may have to get ahold of DJI and see if they have an answer. I've tried it a couple of times with the same result.
