PhandomDave. My name is Don Magnus. I'm from New Richmond, WI out in the country with plenty of room to fly. I just bought a Phantom 2, H3-3D, GoPro Hero 3+ from EyeAerial. I had become frustrated after a couple of years of trying to get my Parallax ELEV-8 to do what I wanted it to do. Then I discovered the Phantom, which is exactly what I wanted. Now the ELEv-8 is up for sale, or I might just keep it as a toy.
Anyway, I am actively learning to fly the Phantom - not that it is that hard to fly, just learning how to use all of the Phantastic Pheatures. I intend to use it mainly for fun, but wouldn't be totally against some light commercial use eventually, depending on the )(%%*)&* politicians...
I also eventually want to fly it off my boat so I can get some really good video out on the water. I'm understandably a little apprehensive about that!

I am looking for someone to help set up a FPV on my Phantom 2 in the Minneapolis area. I have not purchased one yet but I need to very soon. I would like to have it installed and working by next weekend. Anyone have any suggestions?

I've been flying a Vision 2+ for about a month and have a 2nd Vision 2+ as a backup. Then added a Phantom 2 with a new GoPro 4 to play with. Willing to meet up and find some interesting places to fly. Live in SW metro outside of Chaska.

Nice... I considered it but was turned oof with holiday delays, then was approached by Align and added a M690L to my fleet. It's a beast but has tons of options and so far is super smooth and reliable.

If you feel like coming out to get some flying in, the local platoon of "The Mission Continues" (I am a member) asked me to get some footage of them in the Run As One event at Lake Calhoun on the 28th. I'll go check it out and if I think I can safely get some video and photos without putting people or drone at risk, I'll do it. If It looks unsafe, I'll be forced to run. I really hope I can take pictures...

I want to introduce myself. Im a new P3P owner. I've flown a variety of RC helicopters as well as the Parrot AR drone and the Parrot Beebop drone. I'm really impressed at the Phantom. Its video quality, range, speed, and especially the stability of the video are remarkable. The video looks like it was shot on a tripod.

I live in Roseville and am interested in getting together with other Phantom pilots. I did talk with another Phantom owner who was flying in Roseville's Central Park.

What part of town are you in? I'm retired so my schedule is somewhat flexible. I'm think of heading over to the State Fair this afternoon. I went there last week but the fairgrounds was closed for the car show. I'm hoping they are open today.

I looked at the web site you sent. Is there focus just on completely autonomous vehicles or do they include craft like the Phantom also?
