Mini Ipad ?

    This is because the app was not specifically designed to work on iPad. The device is scaling the app up, but it's not perfect.

    Does your mini have a Retina display? Mine does not. Looks like Dirk's doesn't either. May be the difference...

    You can get rid of the battery percentage display by going to

    Settings > Usage > Battery percentage > and then slide to switch it off

    You will always see the battery symbol though
