Max control range in FCC mode

Hi

DJI says, max control range in FCC mode is 500 meters. Can you say, what is the range in practice?
Is it over or under 500 meters?

I don't think you can see it at that distance, less navigate it.

Some report ranges up to 4 - 5000 feet in the vision threads, which is the same as us.

So, if you have proper FPV on your FC40 Phantom, You can fly it in 1200-1500 meter range!

Even in fc mode mine will not go past 320 meters no were near the 500m range claimed even in a very open area with nothing obstructing my signal .
