Mapping software

I use drone deploy to fly and pix4d on my desktop to process. We to use Survey Grade gear (topcon gps) to collect our targets and fly with a phantom 3 professional . We get cm accuracy.

Sent from my iPhone using PhantomPilots mobile app

I've not used Drone Deploy myself. However I've been on numerous missions with Pix4D Capture and process them on Pix4D Mapper Pro for GIS output.

I'm keen to know how is it possible to use Drone Deploy to fly a mission, and post process it in Pix4D Mapper. Considering the followings:

- are you able to bring in the geotag photos from Drone Deploy into Pix4D?
- must you not upload your photos to Drone Deploy for cloud processing?

Thanks.

The geotags are in the Exif data for every photo that your Phantom takes
Whatever program or service you use to process, it just takes a bunch of image files (with location and altitude data included) and goes from there.
None of them need any of the grid planning stuff for the processing.

If you're on iOS, you might want to try Skycatch Commander. They're new to the app game, but I've tried it out a few times and its pretty smooth. A few app crashes here and there, but the drone kept flying and competed the mission each time.
