My Son got a small drone for Christmas. He was flying around his house the other day and it just took off on its own. I helped him look for it in the woods to no avail. So tonight, I took my P3s over and thought I would do a fly over the trees to see if we could see it. As soon as I linked up I got an error saying strong magnetic interference and to recalibrate the compass. I did that and the calibrate failed. Moved away from the house and tried again with the same results. Discovered the house down the road has a tower on their property with radios for a local wireless ISP. I am assuming they are 2.4 Ghz. I was surprised to see an error stating magnetic interference when in reality its RF interference. Unless there is something else out there causing it. Told him when he replaced his drone make sure he did not fly it there.
