What software do you guys suggest for macbook pro? Preferably free. Basic editing etc would be all I need.

    Thanks

I'm not sure. I'm a newb. Just want something that I can scroll through pics etc. Preview doesn't allow me to do that.

You may be taking the pictures in Adobe DNG or RAW format then. To view them, you would need Adobe software. I believe when you connect to the camera via the app, you can change this to the standard jpeg.

I don't own a PV2+ myself but from what i have read, thats your first option

They are Jpeg. Again, just needing a viewer that I can scroll through while viewing instead of closing and clicking on each pic one by one. Make sense?

Oh! I follow you now, If you highlight a grouping of pictures, then right click and tell to open, they will open in preview but will allow you to scroll. They will all list down the let side but with using the arrow keys, it will scroll

Your MacBook has iPhoto for your photos and iMovie for videos.
