Thanks for all the help, just want to report back that after two days of heavy recon we were unable to locate the Phantom. I've contacted DJI and after filling out a survey they will discuss options with me. Have there been many cases of lost drones?

Some, and 99% is pilot erros.

check ebay!! if someone finds it they might just try and make some money on it! there is one on there just now ..no remote or charger ....crash one! may be repairable!
