The last two times I've flown my P2 I've been out around 700 meters and the FPV picture starts to break up and actually goes black for a short while but does come back and the P2 has gone into Failsafe mode and then RTH. If I toggle the P1 switch I can get control back and I can continue flying. My first thought is that I was flying too low and therefore I was losing LOS with the controller but the more I thought about it occurred to me I should lose the FPV transmission connection before I lose the RC. Now I'm wondering if there is a problem with my RC. Does anyone have any thoughts about what may be happening?

I have lost comand with the phantom and still had FPV. Every time it was in my neighborhood. A lot of interference here.
And I was flying low, about 60 miters. And at 900 miters distance.
I think it was WiFi interference. I also have done the antenna hack. So if you figer it out let me know. Thanks.

Maximum range is only 1000 metres. If you have interference or other sub optimal conditions it will obviously be less.

Maximum range depends on your surroundings and is not a defined distance, it can also change from one day to the next. I personally have gone out to just over 2000m in one direction before loosing radio connection, then going the opposite direction I was only able to get out to 1200m before going into RTH. This is all with a stock 2.4ghz radio. Both times I kept perfect video feed due to my fpvlr.com antennas (http://fpvlr.com/shop/index.php?route=p ... duct_id=60 on phantom and http://fpvlr.com/shop/index.php?route=p ... duct_id=64 on my goggles) . I have ordered the long range kit for my radio (http://fpvlr.com/shop/index.php?route=p ... uct_id=127) from fpvlr.com and am excited to see the results!
