Hi! I just got my P3S, and I'm looking for *safe* places to fly. I only flew at the Van Nuys RC Field so far, but I'm looking for a place a little bit closer. I live in MdR.

Sadly my friend you are in a very restricted area. Have you tried using Airmaps.io?
Suggestions are Hermosa Beach Pier and San Pedro Nice scenery, no airports to deal with closer to the water. Downside is marine antennas and generally a windy area. Korean Friendship Bell in San Pedro is somewhere I was planning to shoot as well as down at the waterfront / marina. hth!

I suggest you try the cliffs at Palos Verdes peninsula. I flew here a couple weeks ago. Very scenic.
