Hi there. I have messed up with the latest upgrade. I made the mistake of, without thinking, switching the RC on prior to the phantom. As I hadn't upgraded the RC with the latest firmware, it went immediately into automatic upgrade mode. At the same time, having inserted the SD card with v 5.0030, the two update processes switched in. Unfortunately, although the RC seems to have upgraded ok, the phantom refuses to upgrade. I'm thinking that I will need somehow to almost reset both the RC and phantom to get back to stable versions but I'm not sure how to do this. Any thoughts, advice would be most welcome. This isn't a rant as this situation was completely my own fault.

Did you try that?

Follow these steps:

1. Delete everything on your ad card
2. Reformat xd card to exFAT format
3. Copy bin file for 1.5.30 FW correspond to your P3. Please note files for P3A and P3P are different
4. Insert ca charged battery to your P3
5. Insert xd card to your P3 gimbal
6. Keep RC off
7. Switch on your P3
8. Update will start, gimbal will start making noise, it's small LED will flash green and red
9. Wait for about 10 minutes , you will see gimbal led turns solid green
10. Stop P3 at this stage
11. Check the content of txt file on ad card, it should show success

Write that in a file you can copy and paste-- you will need it again.:D:D

Thanks for your inputs. I have been flying the phantom (and successfully upgrading firmware) since early spring and normally its hassle free. Its just that on this occasion I tried to inadvertently carry out two firmware upgrades at the same time. Its now almost instinctive to switch my RC on first as this is part of the normal startup checklist. This is the first time that I have had any problems so I guess that I should count myself lucky. Thanks for your help and advice.
