I think I would like to get a gimble to use on and off my Phantom. I don't need to control it from transmitter. I don't want any other connection other than a power source. I will be using a gopro white until it craps out. It must be light as possible. On the Phantom, I just want to set it level and be on my way. I don't understand about all the ribbon cables and having to connect to computer to get the **** thing to work. Does this exist? I may want to use this on Phantom, atv, helmet, Jetski etc. I know they have hand held gimbles but they have handles which contain power source and controls. Not looking for that. Any help would be appreciated. Also don't want a huge investment.

I think you need to a do a lot of research first.. a gimbal on a helmet.. erm no.
There isn't a "self contained" gimbal that will fit on a Phantom and be plug and play.

For an ATV etc you will need a totally different product.
