I just got my phantom and upon closet inspection I realise that one of the little silver cylinders came out.

Anyone had this problem?

Re: Little problem here. Urgent solution

I don't know cause the little thing won't go in. And without it the screw is loose and the leg goes to the side

Re: Little problem here. Urgent solution

If it came out it will go back in.....might just have to turn it just right .

Re: Little problem here. Urgent solution

How did it come out? Did you tighten the screw too much and it pulled out? A drop or two of c/a on it and put it back in will fix it

Re: Little problem here. Urgent solution

It is a pressed fit - stick it in the freezer for an hour or so and then immediately press it in.
Do not use too much force.

Unce in dribble some superglue around the fitting but on the threads.

I put the two little round things in the freezer, I will let u know in a bit.

Why put it in the freezer would work?

The parts will shrink a bit, but because they are so small, they will warm up quickly, so work fast.
Take the screw out of the leg and thread the pressnut on it, and freeze both. When you take it out of the freezer you can pick up the screw with a pair of needle-nose pliers.
If you are going to use superglue, make sure you don't get any on the threads.

Re: Little problem here. Urgent solution

Freezer will contract it (make the diameter slightly smaller) so may make fitting easier.

"Unce in dribble some superglue around the fitting but on the threads."
Should have been:-

ONCE in dribble some superglue around the fitting but NOT on the threads.

Sorry.

Re: Little problem here. Urgent solution

failing that google rivnuts or riv-nuts, might be an alternative, i got loads if your in UK ?

I'm in South America

Re: Little problem here. Urgent solution

Thanks everyone. I put them in the freezer they shrieked and went in. One of them came off but I put super glue and done.

Thank you again everyone. Tomorrow I'll be up in the air

I had it with mine after a tree got in its way. Line it up straight and it will push back in and a dab of glue will keep it there til the next crash

Wow. That must have had some impact. After a fly away my phantom bounced off a shed and into my car sliding on its top. I lost 3 of the screws holding the legs on but weirdly no threds had stripped and no loose press nuts. I just popped some new screws in and started flying again. These things are so tough.

Re: Little problem here. Urgent solution

Well I took it on a plane.
