I saw a video on YouTube with an explanation of how to add a waypoint while flying. It showed a bridge and the pilot started at the right side of the bridge and hit C1 (or C2) and set a waypoint, then went to the left side of the bridge and did the same to set another. In the video he was explaining “interpolate” but I thought the idea of being able to set a waypoint while in flight was the coolest thing ever. By the way, I can’t find that video.

From the Litchi manual…

Waypoint at Aircraft: In GS mode, adds a waypoint at the aircraft location.

The newly added waypoint will have its altitude, heading and gimbal pitch

angle automatically set to the current aircraft altitude, heading and gimbal

pitch angle.

I haven’t tried it yet but where can I find this newly added waypoint?

Do I have to be in a mission?

Check out this site on a computer - Mission Hub - Litchi and play around there

You can plan litchi missions and save them, when you click on a waypoint, the options will open up and you can configure the altitude and other settings

and here's a youtube video tutorial -

You need to be in the air (the AC needs to actually be at the desired waypoint position). Set your C1 button to wapoint at aircraft. Fly to where you want the wp to be and press the button. Simple.

Do you have to be in a mission to do this? If you are in a mission how do you steer your drone and gimbal where you'd like your waypoint to be? Can someone elaborate on this please? Thanks
