Today I decided to plan a difficult mission involving turning and descending in a valley.Almost 30 seconds after beginning the mission I lost signal for 7,5 minutes and had to wait until my P3P returned.
Mission completed successfully and this is why I am a big fan of Litchi.
All I had to do was to triple-check mission elevations and compare them with hills and tall trees surrounding me.The only thing litchi isn't accurate is time and this is a good thing I guess because it gives you about 2 minutes more in a 10 minute mission which is actually about 8.
So don't be afraid to use Litchi, just plan your mission correctly.

Good stuff, but I would give a slightly bigger margin for error in terms of altitude.

The risk of a valley descent on a Litchi mission is you could lose satellites and GPS, and without a connection, you'll have no way to bring it home. It will likely hover, drift and crash. So be sure to have lots of extra satellites. You could check the elevation mask at uavforecast to minimize the risk.
