Just received the email below from Litchi...

DJI Firmware Update Issue

Dear Litchi Pilots,

There is currently an issue with the recently released firmwares for Mavic Pro (v01.03.0500), Inspire 2 (v01.0.0240) and Phantom 4 Pro (v01.03.0418) where the drone will fly erratically in some of Litchi’s flight modes. If you already installed one of these firmwares, we highly recommend not using these flight modes until the issue is fixed with a DJI firmware update. The following flight modes are affected: VR with Immersive/Joystick Head Tracking active, Follow, Focus and Track. All other flight modes (including FPV, Waypoint, Orbit and VR with Immersive/Joystick Head Tracking OFF) are unaffected.

The Litchi Team

Autopilot is issuing a similar warning:

There is currently an issue with the latest DJI firmware for the Mavic Pro, Phantom 4 Pro and Inspire 2 which causes erratic flight behavior in Autopilot. We do not recommend* using Autopilot with these aircraft types until a resolution has been found for this issue. If you are using firmware 01.03.0200 or below, you should not see these issues.

* It is still possible to safely use Human Flight Control Modes and Waypoint Mode as long as Lost Connection is set to Continue Mission (LCMC).

We will send out another correspondence when this issue has been resolved.

Thanks for your understanding!
The Hangar Team

Note that both Litchi and Autopilot are saying that manual flight control and waypoint mode seems to be OK with the new firmware.

You are linking to a closed duplicate.
So it seems (now), the other thread was closed- the mods have done their work. It might be they closed the wrong one however. There isn't much action here. It might be that litchi users read their email.

It is pleasing to see litchi's quick action here (and hangar's also for that matter).

Have P4 and been doing pano with Litchi for real estate shoots last couple days. After a couple of shots the bird starts climbing and will not stop. I put in sport mode and bring it down. Tried 3 times today on same location and it did it again, again and again.

There's a possibility that's the Obstacle Avoidance system going bonkers when facing the sun. This is a well-known issue, and has been responsible for similar behavior reported in other threads. Then again it may not be :D

Anyway, try shooting the pano OA disabled, and see if it completes successfully.

Ok, thanks for your reply. OA is and option in Pano mode?
No, OA is in settings, under the aircraft/drone section. It is on by default.

There's no convenient way to turn it on and off (being able to assign a toggle to one of the buttons would be nice, but we don't have that at the moment). So, if you want to maintain maximum safety, you'll have to turn it off while the bird's in the air before your pano by going into settings, then back on after.

It would be nice if it would turn off when you go to pano. Had problems today. Forgot to turn it off.

To confirm, there is no problem with flying missions still using litchi on the P4P right?
As per the notice from Litchi in the OP: "The following flight modes are affected: VR with Immersive/Joystick Head Tracking active, Follow, Focus and Track. All other flight modes (including FPV, Waypoint, Orbit and VR with Immersive/Joystick Head Tracking OFF) are unaffected."

Thanks, I know the answer was sitting there, but I still wanted confirmation since my apps updated just yesterday and I wanted to make sure something new wasn't uncovered.
