Litchi add tracking like P4

The Phantom 4's big draw is the subject tracking capability. Would be great if Litchi could add this functionality via the app. Vertical Studio has implemented it via app for the P3, so you know it is possible.
Do you think Litchi will add it? Litchi has the most features currently. I don't want to have to switch apps to perform different functions. Would be nice if Litchi add this feature too.

yes... i think that if they develop the track mode you have to pay for it like the focus mode...the focus mode should be free

Actually I believe the subject tracking capability and the focus capability can both implemented in the GO app as it is software related and not hardware related issue. Question is if DJI want this.

I don't think DJI is going to add this as it takes away a big reason to buy P4.

Maybe somebody could try loading the P4 FW into the P3. Probably wouldn't work but fun to try. Not me though, I'm chicken.

As an existing Litchi customer I would not expect to pay anything. By adding tracking Litchi will just about have nullified any real advantage of going to the P4, thereby keeping (and expanding) its own customer base.

I'm actually in the middle of deciding which all to buy...litchi or vertical? Seems like litchi is more popular and costs less. Does anyone have a comparison of the two?

One can not really compare the two. Litchi is an established, full function app on Android (and getting there for iOS), incorporating waypoints, follow me, focus and much more. Vertical is a new app, specialising in object tracking. It has some really nice features such as The Wall, and they are adding new features quite quickly.

$50? No way. I'm already in $20 for the base Litchi app and $5 for POI. Vertical is $20, so that is the cap. Otherwise people will just buy Vertical. I'd pay another $5 for additional features if implemented well.

Ive been a Beta Tester for a very long time, never heard of track mode...Where do I find that....

Track mode on litchi for iOS (beta) is not like the P4 active track. It's manual and you still have to fly the bird. Of course this is a good thing since the P3 does not have object avoidance

You should have been pushed that beta update before this last one (193) with camera settings and exposure details panel in Litchi.

Maybe you are not iOS beta?
