Link light red

I bought a controller on eBay advertised as 'new'. When I link it to my p3s it links, but the link light on my aircraft stays red. I can't control the gimbal or motors and the red banner in DJI go says RC signal lost but I see fpv.

Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a way to fix it?

Was this a standard remote (Single antenna and wifi ) and not a P3P or P3A remote (2 Antennas light bridge)

is the DJI app updated? and your tablet as well - mostly DJI app try that, I had the same problem, both my iPad and DJI app needed updating an perfection right after that, I must have restarted 5-6 times but it just wouldn't work right until all my stuff was given that attention.

What does DJI Go say about the firmware? Same version as what is on the aircraft? Does it need updated?
