Limited transmitter distance

In a previous post I made reference to the fact that during a hard fast flying I would get some flashing yellow lights. It apparently somebody brought up the idea that there could be a transmitter problem. Well tonight I went out flying and I noticed that when I flew my Phantom and I made sure prior to doing so I placed four brand-new batteries in the transmitter that the range was probably less than 100 yards. And this was line of sight. Now according to everything that I've read the Phantom has approximately 300 m Range, which is longer than 300 yards. Currently I'm running on D bus and I have all the current updates. Should I be on PPM and if so how do I get there or does it sound like it may have a transmitter problem. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated thank you

I am having same issue only at about 5-10' away from the Phantom.. Did you ever figure it out?
