Life expectancy on Props

How long can or should a set last?

They could last for years if you do not damage them. Prior to each flight, check the edges for damage, check the inside/outside of the hub area for cracks, and ensure the threads inside the hub are not damaged.

My P2 & P3's are still using the original sets, still have the new spares. They are quite durable.
