Hey Everyone -

New to the drone commercial world.

Just curious about certain licenses. Besides city / county licensing, general everyday license, do all I need is my Part 107 license to be able to "Do Business As" and make $$ ?

If not, what other licenses should I be applying for?

I'm not handling drones over 50lbs, no industrial style filming. Couple phantoms, mavics, x star premiums, and one Inspire.

I'm looking to be able to book appointments and sell RAW footage online is my main goal.

I would also suggest you pick up a general liability insurance policy. Not only is it a good idea, a lot of companies will require one for you to work with them as a subcontractor.

I forgot about insurances. What do they normally cost for a simple setup with only drones?

My policy is $1000000 of liability and it is approximately $650 per year. I'm flying a phantom 3 professional and I do real estate photography and videos.

It also covers privacy insurance, something I'd never even thought about.
