Let's see some videos!

We need to fit your Phantom with the mechanism from an Airsoft auto-rifle and return fire!

Ya know .... we use to take the small Estes solid fuel model rockets and hang them off a bent coat hanger, mounted under the wing of a slow flying RC trainer.
A servo on a spare channel would engage a micro switch in one direction, and then another one in the other direction, with the trims set all the way to minimum for the channel, and two more switches would activate with the trims set to maximum ..... to apply the voltage for the rockets to blast off, providing a total of 4 rockets per channel.
With a 4 channel radio we could have all flight controls (elevator and rudder) and get like 8 rockets to fire off, each at individual Tx command.

We would use the ends off those toy devices that you throw up into the air and they fire off a cap (like in a cap gun) when they hit the pavement ....... and we'd load a drilled out cavity in them with a wee bit of FF back powder (OK ... as much as we could cam in there) and use them as the warheads for the rockets.

Set up targets of old toys, and in a dive ...... fire off the rockets.
Most of the time they would just hit and the cap wouldn't light the black powder, but when I worked ..... it was really cool!

Oh ya .. the good old days ... when you could buy black powder at the local Western Auto Hardware store!!

Not recommending ..... just saying .... you know ..... in case the dogs fail the mission!

First flight of my phantom 2 vision + in Naza atti mode doing FF in my street to give a try to this little machine.

Nothing spectacular I know, but it's just the beginning... Now if it can stop rainning...

Here are some various clips from my first 3 flights over a local lake. Not only am I elated that I sold my Vision and upgraded to the plus, but also the quality of this lossless video I was able to produce with Adobe Premier Pro. It is worth a look. Mesmerizing with the background music. I am still waiting on copyright permission for the music so a computer is needed to view it. The video data rate is higher than needed (about 50-55 kbps) and the vision plus is only 12 kbps. As a result, I have found basic video cards will lag playing video at 1080p. Feedback is always welcome.

Excellent backdrop! When you did the close up of the wakeboarder getting on plane, were you using 720p60? Did you use spot or average for focus? Also where did you find the music? Every time I find a song the seems to go with video, I get caught in the Content ID algorithm trap. Then youtube limits the video to PC land only. Here is a video I threw together of my neighborhood lake from my first few flights. Not as pretty as your backdrop, but not bad for a neighborhood shot.

I posted this in a different thread but may also be useful here.

Video of a closer look at dji Phantom 2 Vision + (Plus) including information about getting it at a discount price. Includes comparison between the Plus and the older Vision. Also shows where the WiFi antennas which were in the camera of the old Version moved into the body of the Plus.

I had a similar thought....When I start modding maybe I can add something defensive to the budget!

Hey there Shingar .... I think the neighbor **** near had a missile lock on ya!
Maybe time to open up the fence a bit ... so the attack Labs can go neuter him ......... oops, I mean neutralize him. ;)

Yup...that first shot was closer than it looked on video. Unfortunately, the labs only attack inanimate objects like tennis balls, pull ropes and......quadcopters. When it comes to humans, they are just a mass of love energy.

Neighbor came over after the attack and asked about the quad. He left with a link to where he could buy his own. I'm hoping for some dog-fight aerial footage in the future!

I finally uploaded about 7 days of Flying the Vision+ around different areas and terrain! Enjoy!

1. Chicago and Lake Michigan- Flying around fast and using FPV mode.

2. Chicago and Lake Michigan skyline views. Flying slow to show the stability in 10-20MPH winds off the lake

http://vimeo.com/92792394

3. Rural Illinois, slow flying around trees and pond

http://vimeo.com/92739556

4. Rural Illinois- flying high

http://vimeo.com/92739557

5. My first flight in Chicago

Enjoy!! :D :D :D

My first flight. It was breezy out. The FPV goes way further than the P2V and the video is amazing. I'm so happy I upgraded to the P2V+. I did however last night notice that the remote control didn't go as far...it actually did a return to home which I was surprised because it's never done that before. Maybe there was some just interference last night.

Well that's the best plan!!
No sense in conflict if you can convince him to join in the party!!
Hope you both have a lot of fun,and looking forward to dualing Plus viddys. ;)

On edit: Here's what you and your neighbor need to get ........
