It's just stuck on the battery door, and the power connector goes to the balance lead on the battery. Uses very little battery juice....

funny I just made on of them for mine yesterday out of a spare panel led light I had from when I converted all the lights in my camper to LEDs in place of the incandescent power hog lights it used to have. Same thing just rectangle shaped and the same size as the front of the battery door instead of round layout on the leds.

Tho I with mine i wired my auxullery power wire on the phantom to have the same plug for it. instead of plugging in to the balance plug on the battery, being the plug on the battery is were I already plug my battery alarm buzzer in to.

and instead of using the double sided tape on the back of the LED I used some self stick velro dots I had, So I can take it off or put it in different spots such as the front or the belly facing downwards. So its like a spot light instead of a head light.
