Leaving Props Installed on P2 When in the Case

I have noticed that when I place my Phantom 2 in the storage case and I close the lid, the foam cushion on the inside of the lid presses down on the props slightly causing them to bend downwards a little. Over time, would this cause the props to deform slightly? Would that affect the performance of the props at all. Would it be best to remove the props and store them in one of the pockets, especially if storing the P2 for a extended period of time?

It's pretty easy to remove the P2 props, so that's always a good option. Or, you can cut the top foam so it doesn't touch the props:
