Learning to fly in manual

Before I bought my drone I played with the 6.0 version of this software, Real Flight. It has a couple of quadcopters to fly. Even though I fly in GPS this software really helped me as I wasn't just clueless once I had a drone.
So if you want to fly in manual this will help you learn. It's easier to just to click reset as to fix an expensive aircraft. Plus it's fun.

Great advice.

It really perplexes me why so many on this forum and newcomers to the hobby pick $400+ quads as their first experience and wonder why they are crashing.

I had two years heli experience (up to moderate 3d collective pitch flying) before entering into the phantom which is overkill if you're doing that to learn the phantom, but you need something else to practice on
