Actually just had another incident tonight. Hovered, flew around about 6-10' off the ground fine, flew up to about 65' and controller lost signal.
It kept switching from good to fly to no signal and never did a return to home initiate.
So 2 out of 3 times my controller has lost signal at very close distance so I'm not even willing at this point to try going much further until there is a new release for the controller and or the app.
Something changed and I'm not sure what it was but I don't have any confidence really in just being able to fly around and video or photo anything unless I want it under 50' high and 100' away.
