Followed steps to upgrade firmware on copter and controller. Copter succeeded and confirmed success by log file on usb card. Proceeded to upgrade firmware on controller. Controller did not display expected signals. Waited 12 minutes then shut the system down. Log file said copter upgrade successful and controller upgrade failed. Reformatted sd card and tried again. This time controller displayed no signs that jt was working and log file was not even present on sd card. Thanks a bunch for any help.

Where you updating the controller with the DJI GO app? What firmware are you on currently for controller (you can check the version in GO)?
I had the same problem with my p3a done update sweet but the control wouldnt read the fule of the usb drive so i had to use the go app to do the install on the controler
