"Today is the deadline to submit comments to the FAA regarding the new registration rule. It is critical that AMA members are heard loud and clear, so we encourage all members to submit comments. Additionally, we wanted to update you on the latest developments as we continue to work with the FAA to find a path forward on the registration process. Today, AMA leadership is in Washington, D.C., meeting with FAA officials to discuss this and other issues impacting the modeling community. During the visit, AMA will be accompanying Marke "Hoot" Gibson, the FAA's Senior Advisor on UAS Integration, in a visit to one of the local flying sites in the DC area. This visit will grant the FAA an opportunity to witness AMA's safety protocol, observe club camaraderie and mentoring, and speak with AMA members firsthand about their concerns.
