If you are interested in seeing coastal ga from 400 ft up take a peek. I only turned the camera on at this point because it's when I was confident that the remaining battery level would easily get me home.

surely there is a lot of risk envolved with such long flights, is it worth it!!

Personally, I don't feel like there is any more risk than flying high above ground in within a 100 meter circle of yourself. If the bird has a fly away or falls from the sky either way you are out a phantom. What good is a recovered phantom that has just fallen from 200ft onto hard ground? Might save a slight bit doing a rebuild....

Something about flying it a long distance is exciting to me!
