I've seen a couple people doing the vinyl and think it looks nice. Just wondering where you got the DJI decal to put on it when it was done. The other one that I've seen over at RCG forums has a similar DJI, a FatShark, and GoPro decal. Is there some decal super-store in the sky that I'm missing?

Ahhh, It just occurred to me that maybe people are printing there own. I forgot that Testor has a DIY print kit available for making slide-off decals. Haven't tried it myself, but have thought about it in the past for some helis.

I like the landing gear... nice work. Folding? Now that's something I'll stay-tuned for.

dji sticker comes with the Phantom box, iI did the vinyl then placed the oem stickers. With the landing gear folding it would be easier to take it to snowboarding trips, camping, not going to be automatic tho like s800

I'm going to do this. Funny coincidence, I just came across your post here after googling for an hour looking for landing gear solutions. I'm sick of good video shots being ruined by the landing gear. Especially since I installed the gimbal.

I actually just made a single leg for the compass and a launch platform that will let me fly legless. I'll just catch it when I'm ready to come in, like I often do anyway. I think I'll give it a try next time I go out.

its hard to catch without the landing gear at least for me and a crash will break more parts without it naza mc is 250 I'd rather break 20 dollar landing gear.

and now it folds

Very nice work! It's difficult to see the actual folding mechanism, is there a clip or some type of tensioner that you release in order to fold the legs in or out?

That doesn't look like vinyl on the top cowling, did you use plasti-dip or some type of paint? It's looking good.
