Lake Powell, Utah

We visited Lake Powell in June and I brought the Phantom along. It is such a spectacular landscape...although you have to get comfortable flying over water in order to capture it.

Here is a shot I took, and that scene from the original Planet of the Apes which was actually filmed in Lake Powell:



I believe the final scene from the movie Gravity was also filmed there.

The star photos were shot using a DSLR on a tripod, with a 30 second exposure.

Really cool. This place was on my list to visit for that. My Dad and I had some amazing fishing there years back. We both caught our limit in a few hours.
