Is it necessary to calibrate the gimbal before every flight on the Phantom 3?
If you have jello ( ON ) your video..... as the Title say's.
Works like a Charm.
If you have jello in your Video?
Did you remove the thin plastic from the lens.
Calibrate does not hurt... over 100 miles away YES.
No. Most people recommend IMU and gimbal calibration when you first get your Phantom and again if you get errors or feel that the gimbal is not acting right.
Compass calibration should generally be done if you fly more than about 100 miles from your last calibration.
Jello in the video may be due to not removing the foam that comes on the gimbal mount, props badly out of balance, or a significant malfunction of one or more of your motors.
