Italy Drone law and regualtions

Hi all

I have researched a few posts on this subject but seem to see anything conclusive.

I am traveling to Italy tomorrow and looking to take my drone to fly for fun. Does anyone know if I need third party insurance or is a UAV sub 7kg classes as a model aircraft if Iam doing it for fun. Also what are the rules and regulations on taking my Lipo batteries on a plane

Left it a bit late to find out !

Should be no problems with batteries on plane in hand luggage.

Seen lots of drone videos from italy so guess ok.
