Issue with warnings from geocaching

Me and my friend both have phantom 4 with the geo caching enabled to make sure we are following flight laws and not breaking them, however when she adjusts max alltitude setting no warnings are issued and when i do i get the warnings etc both using ipad and my version is 2.8.4 and hers is 2.9.0 could this be causing the problem or could it be a fault with the gps system. Have gone through settings with her so there set corrwctly manually but its bugging me why she is not getting same warnings as i do. Hope u can help guus and thanks in advance
