What are we looking at?

If you are talking about a slight gap then yes.
If you are asking if the motor should be at an angle, and not dead upright, the answer is yes. It's designed that way to stop Vortex Ring State, which causes the Phantom to 'wobble ' when descending, possibly leading to a crash.
But I think the gap is too wide to be normal
Im talking about the gap
Can you explain what it is that you are concerned about?
Looks very normal to me

My bird has similar gaps and its flying without any issue. In start i was also very much concerned about these. But I read on dji forum or on this that it's normal. Sorry I don't remember exact reference.
Gap between the upper shell n lower shell
