is the iphone 5s practicable with phantom 4 pro?

I'm on the point of buying a phantom 4 pro or pro plus but I'm wondering whether my iphone 5s is really an option if I buy the pro.
I understand that there are some advantages to DJI operating under IOS.
There are obvious advantages to a larger screen but could the 5s do a satisfactory job?
Has anyone experience of iphone 5s and what comment do you have to make?
I would be grateful for any help making a decision.

iPhone 5S will work but its better to use screen of at least 7". Thats my preference.

Yes, I would prefer something larger but I'm trying to avoid spending more than is necessary.
Since I already have the iphone 5s it seemed to make sense to try that, if other people had found it to be a practical option with not too many drawbacks.
If i am to be forced to go for a extra/larger (more expensive option) maybe I should stick with the pro plus.
I am put off this course by the reports of DJI go 4 crashes and lack of some decent mapping facilities.
