Does gimbal guards interfere with the downward facing sensors? Do they void the warranty? Is there one that is safe to use that doesn't interfere with the downward sensors, that is okay by DJI?

I have read reviews about them and from what I have heard is they are ridiculous to put on, if you put it too far back it will effect the sensors and cause your drone to crash and if it is too far forward you may see it on some of your shots, what I recommend doing is either land the drone on the box or buy a double sided weighted landing mat from amazon

Hi David, if you're concerned enough about landing conditions to warrant the extra weight of toting a gimbal guard, just hand catch. That is a unique, and great thing about the Phantom form factor. Toms Tech Time has a nice YouTube video on it. Once you do it a couple times, you wont want to risk a unattended phantom landing again.
