I am wondering if it would be possible in principal to take the 5.8ghz board out of a dji transmitter and wire a plug onto it so it could be plugged into a futaba or jr module slot and then have that tranny transmit on 5.8ghz to control the phantom so you can have all the atv and dual rates etc to slow yaw etc and set up flight modes??? the board is too big to actually fit into a module housing so it would be a proper Frankenstein job. alternatively how much effort would be required to get a pcb designed to fit a module housing and just transfer the necessary components from the dji board?? or just take a futaba or jr module and swap out the part that makes it 2.4ghz for a part to make it 5.8gz?? but I suspect any module would have to talk dji language for things to work.

taranis is on the way so I can go to 2.4 and I think im going to spring for a dm9 module too but I would really like to fly my phantom with the taranis on 5.8ghz if there was a way?????
