iPad won't load Ground Station

When I attempt to download the DJI Ground Station app on my iPad it states "This App is not compatible with your Device".
I'm running the latest IOS 8.0.2.
Is this because my iPad 2 is to old - it's about 5 years from memory.

Compatibility info for the app doesn't show the iPad 2 so it sounds like it's not supported.

You need to have 3,4 or 5 or newer.
