Ipad/Iphone won't connect to wifi

I have a new P2V+ but needed to send the remote back after the first week of use as the S1 switch broke. I now have a new remote and have sync'd everything up with on exception. Each time I try to sync my ipad and iPhone, I get this message; "Connection to Phantom failed." This is just off as I'm seeing the phantom in my list of wireless networks and it connects to ut just fine. But when I attempt to open the app and hit camera, I get the error. What am I doing wrong????

I have the same prob? just purchased a new iPad mini 4 and dead in the water. Does the new iPad mini 4 not work with the dji apps???
