iPad/Controller/Tripod

Finding the iPad and Controller rather cumbersome to hold and view, I built a holder for the Controller/iPad that attaches to the 1/4" screw on a photography tripod. As long as you don't need to wander around much, it works great. Anybody else tried this before?

Since I tend to move around a bit while flying, I use use a neck strap attached to the RC. I've thought about a tripod, but won't fit in my case, lol.

Sorry Tony, it turned out to be a tad too much for the tripod, especially in some wind. I put the iPad, with sunshade on the tripod now, and like Multicoptertec, put the RC on the neckstrap.
