ipad as monitor?

Currently have, p2, avl58, fpvhub h3-2d gimble, boscam monitor.

I'm looking at getting an ipad and use that as a monitor.
I saw a video on youtube where the pilot was demonstrating the ipad and app.
But was it strictly wi-fi? I don't recall if that was mentioned or not.
While a 600ft range isn't bad for most flying, what if I want go longer?

I don't believe an ipad is setup to receive 5.8ghz so what else would be needed?
Bluetooth?
Or could I plug the 5.8 receiver module into the ipad somehow?

If go with the p2v+ will that setup work or what?

To use the iPad as an FPV viewing device you'll need to have a P2 Vision or Vision+ and use DJI's proprietary setup built in to those models.
